Audubon Adventure Camp Registration Open

E-mail Print PDF

Registration is now open for the Grange Insurance Audubon Center Summer Adventure Camp.  Kids in grades 1 - 5 can explore woodlands, fields, mudflats, and wetlands.  They will discover fascinating wildlife throughout the Scioto-Audubon Park.  Complete details and registration are available at the Audubon Adventure Camp Web site.

The camp is designed to create a connection between campers and nature in a city setting.  Campers will learn about about native bird species that nest in the Scioto Metro Park, restoring and conserving important birding areas in Columbus, understanding why some plant species are invasive, and promoting a foundation of science citizenship.  Each week features each a camper-created project, focused around weekly themes, that will be displayed to the public.

Weekly camps start on June 21 and run through August 20.  Camp hours are 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, with extended hours to 5:30 pm available.  The downtown location with the extended hours are specially designed to be convenient for parents who work downtown!  In addition, scholarships are available for kids from selected partner elementary schools.  Space is limited, so register soon at the Audubon Adventure Camp Web site!
