The National Audubon Society has earned Charity Navigator’s highest ranking: four stars. Charity Navigator is a “watchdog” organization that rates nonprofits based on their financial health, accountability and transparency, and reporting of results. Their ratings help donors determine which charities are doing what they say they are doing.
Audubon also recently received a gold-level rating from GuideStar (another major noprofit watchdog group) and is featured on GuideStar’s homepage as an example for other organizations. Finally, Audubon is a Better Business Bureau Accredited Charity.
