Most the Central Ohio Owl Project’s work happens in the fall and winter, but I have recently added another activity for the summers.
This June I banded two sets of Barn Owl nestlings, a total of 11 individuals. Barn Owls are a threatened species in Ohio, and banding allows us to keep track of the population and movements. I am planning to expand Barn Owl banding next year; please let me know of any occupied boxes anywhere in Ohio ([email protected]; confidentiality guaranteed).
