Here’s a trick that I wish I knew how to do: the Black-capped Chickadee can trade old brain cells for new ones!

Did you ever wonder how birds find the food they hide throughout the summer and fall to eat in the winter? It turns out that the brains of chickadees are growing during this time to hold the memories of all of their secret hiding spots. (And I can’t even remember where I left the car keys….)
