Location and Time

40′ 12″ N, 82′ 5″ W (as described in 1975; center I-71, 7.5 mi. n. of Rt. 161). December 14, 2013; 7:45 am to 4:00 pm.

Conditions

Temp 30 F to 36 F. Wind E-ESE, 3-9 mph. Snow depth 1 to 2 inches. All large water was open, small ponds were frozen. Cloudy all day (300 and 600 foot ceiling), snow in morning, then rain (0.2 inches), followed by more snow.

Observers

Observation plan: 4 teams for Hoover Reservoir and surrounding areas, 1 team for Olentangy River, 1 team for Alum Creek Lake, and 3 teams at Metro Parks.

Observers: 34 in the field in 10 parties (non-owling) and 3 Feeder Watch. Total party-hours 46.25; total party-miles 193; 33.5 hours and 27.5 miles on foot; 12.75 hours and 165.5 miles by car.
