Fire management of grasslands and Tree Swallow nestbox grids are compatible. The Ohio Division of wildlife burned this field hosting the Panhandle Road Grid (PRG)in the Delaware Wildlife Area on 16 March 2009. The PVC raccoon guards and nestboxes were reattached to their posts two days later. All boxes raised swallows that season.
