Dispatch Features Randy Rogers at Green Lawn

Randy Rogers at Calamus Swamp

Longtime Columbus Audubon member Randy Rogers is featured in a great article in the Columbus Dispatch! Randy, characterized in the story as the “Lorax of Green Lawn”, is the president of the Green Lawn Cemetery Association’s Board of Trustees and its only paid employee as executive director.

Many Columbus Audubon members have seen Randy’s handiwork, as Green Lawn is one of the premiere birding spots in the area. CA has held many field trips there, and we’ve worked on a project with Wild Birds Unlimited of Columbus to install bird feeders. In fact, CA also contributes to purchasing bird seed to keep those feeders filled. It’s all done with Randy’s blessing — and if you’re lucky, you’ll meet him on a field trip there in the future.

Thanks, Randy, for all you do at Green Lawn and for our bird conservation community!
