You may wonder why we are cancelling so far in advance of the actual event. The answer is that EcoWeekend requires a tremendous amount of planning and coordination by a large team of volunteers working with Camp Oty’Okwa, suppliers, and presenters. All that preparation makes it impossible for us to wait until shortly before May — we had to make the call now . Moreover, many of our attendees need to make their own arrangements for travel, child care, and other items. Putting all that together means that we had to make the call early to protect the health and safety of all involved.
