Columbus Audubon created the John Wilson Memorial Fund to support nature education.

The Wilson Fund may be used to pay fees and other expenses associated with nature education, including such expenses fees to sponsor student participation in nature education events as well as necessary expenses for adults who must accompany youths to these events; teacher to provide educational experiences for others; and sponsorships for seminars, conferences, and other educational events.
