Birdathon 2013 Report: Mudflat Herons
2013 Birdathon
The Mudflat Herons did a full day Birdathon and turned up a great total of 143 species. Highlights for the included a very late Red-breasted Nuthatch and Lark Sparrows at Oak Openings Metro Park in Toledo. (Red-breasted Nuthatches normally are not found this time of year in central to northwest Ohio; Lark Sparrow, a species normally found well to the west of us, is difficult to find in Ohio, being mostly confined to the far northwestern part of the state.)
