Please join us on Tuesday, February 26, as we welcome our own Tom Sheley for Chasing the (F)light.
As a photographer and naturalist, Tom has been chasing the light to document the flight of migratory birds for many years. We’ll join him on a quest to witness spring migrants and resident birds along the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, culminating in a South Texas Big Day. Tom’s photographic journal will accompany a dialog to understand the innate drive to migrate and the challenges these birds face along the way. As a bonus, he will share some hotspots for those wishing to experience the exceptional wildlife of South Texas for themselves!
Tom Sheley, owner of the Columbus Wild Birds Unlimited, is a long-time member and benefactor of Columbus Audubon. Tom has served on the CA board and has been a driving force behind the successful CA Birdathon. Under Tom’s leadership, Wild Birds Unlimited has hosted the Columbus Audubon Bird Seed Sale for many years.
