The preserve features a natural lake, which is spring-fed glacial kettle, and a unique wetland community. The area was mined for peat and marl in 1980-1985. Despite the intense disturbance, the original fen community has survived and features rare plants and animals. During this trip we will work on trash clean up.
Everybody is welcome. Transportation is available for people traveling from Columbus. Bring your lunch, water, work gloves and appropriate foot gear. Please use the form below for questions or to sign up for the trip. Further information will be sent to the registered volunteers.
