Work Trip: Siegenthaler Esker

Siegenthaler Esker

February 22, 2025 – 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Woody vegetation removal and winter burn

The landscape of this preserve always inspires curiosity – it features eskers, kames and kettles, and tells us the story of ancient glaciers, meltwater channels cut through the ice, and landforms influenced by retreating ice sheets. We will return to this preserve to burn the wood piles collected over the year from clearing invasive and weed trees.

Join us for a winter workday in the fresh air warmed by fire. Bring your lunch, water, and work gloves and dress for the weather. Tools will be provided.
